We’re currently looking volunteer mentors for our Student Mentorship Program!
This program aims to help students and young professionals build confidence in networking and developing their talent. We match professionals with a student based on skillsets and interests and allow them to connect for a school year. During this time, students/young professionals will be able to ask questions regarding what to expect in an agency or freelance role, how to build their resumé or portfolio, how best to apply for internships, etc.
In the past, mentors have set up mock interviews, helped them make connections with other professionals in other areas of interest, and invite them to the office or a place for coffee. Overall, students have expressed how much the program has helped them and have said it’s been a highlight of their school year. It’s been great but it’s growing – which is why we need more mentor volunteers ASAP! We ask our mentors to regularly check in with their mentees via email and meet with them a couple times a month via Zoom / phone / in person to discuss anything they may need help with. This is a semester long commitment.
