What’s it like to create brands for breweries, distilleries, dispensaries, and the like in today’s world, where these “vices” are more accepted? Join us and find out. 

Join AAF Memphis as we kick off our new VICES series with our first panelist discussion – Pouring It Out.  Three local panelists will join us to discuss the branding and strategy of brewery and distillery branding. This luncheon will take place at Black Lodge Video on Thursday, October 27, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

🍻 Daniel Brown, Owner & Creative Director at Harvest Creative

A story teller and visual communicator, Daniel’s 23 year career has produced a bumper crop of tall tales and killer brands. A wanna be trout bum and master of the good time, life experiences provide inspiration for his work. Harvest was founded in 2005 and has produced award winning creative for national and local clients. With a hankering for breweries and passion for a buzz, it’s no surprise Harvest is a natural fit for the beverage industry.

🍻 Ben Couvillion, Senior Creative Director at Red Deluxe

As senior creative director for Red Deluxe Brand Development, Ben Couvillion leads the firm’s award-winning creative teams in developing powerful brand systems and national campaigns. With over 20 years of experience, Ben has been honored with numerous local, regional, and national awards from the American Advertising Federation for clients such as The Wounded Warrior Project, HGTV, Bass Pro Stores, and the Memphis Grizzlies. His work has also been featured numerous times in Communication Arts magazine.

Ben earned his Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from Mississippi State University.

Ben and his wife Heather are parents to four children (Charlie, Maeve, Roan, and Christopher), two dogs, four cats, a missing snake, and a recently deceased hamster.

🍻 Lexie Danford, Brand Strategist & Account Executive at Paradigm

A lifelong Memphian, Lexie is passionate about supporting small businesses and the good things in our city. Always applied in a unique way, Chris’ deep design skillset includes inventive logo design, custom typography, digital production, and videography. With a decade of professional experience in the creative industry, Chris has developed identities for distilleries, restaurants, sports, and various non-profits and designed the iconic Beale Street neon archway. His creative energy stems from his passion for Memphis and the enrichment of the creative community.
